Rivers, Oceans, And Mountains

When it was finally time to redesign/rebuild a new website for ROAM, to better showcase all the work and projects we do, it was important to make sure it reflected our love for nature and the acronym of our name; Rivers, Oceans, And Mountains.

We wanted to incorporate some video work to set the tone of our website when you first came to it, and after working closely with Scott Bell on some video work for our portion of the Cumberland Museum & Archives exhibit, as well as his ongoing photography contributions to the Collective Mags, we knew he was the right choice to help us with this.

We provided the idea of making a short video that took you on a journey from the top of the mountains, through the forests, beside the rivers, and finish at the ocean. We love the natural beauty we’re surrounded with, both on the grand and micro scale, so we alternated macro and detail shots throughout the video. We made sure to only use locations nearby to our studio.

Scott delivered with an amazing range of videos to choose from. We worked together on which locations, order and how to cut to give the feel we wanted, while keeping short enough (and file size down) to load on the site nicely.

Here’s the list of shots/locations:
